Comprehensive Remodeling – Unit 102
This project involved the complete remodeling of a residential unit, encompassing everything from demolition and repair work to interior finishes, furniture installation, and moisture treatment. The goal was to leave the space completely renovated, habitable, and with a modern aesthetic.
Scope of Work Performed:
1. Demolition and Preparation:
• Disrepaired elements were removed and utilities were disconnected for safe demolition.
• All debris, including adhesive from previous floors, was removed and the area was thoroughly cleaned.
2. Structural Repairs:
• Floor voids were repaired with quick-setting concrete.
• Necessary areas were leveled to ensure a uniform surface.
3. Walls and Finishes:
• Damaged sections of drywall were replaced in the bathrooms, kitchen, living room, dining room, and bedrooms.
• Level 5 finishes and paint were applied to all repaired surfaces.
• New baseboards and trim were installed throughout the unit.
4. Installations and Remodeling:
• Two full bathrooms were remodeled, including the installation of new toilets, sinks, showers, and fixtures.
• New interior doors and closets were installed.
• New cabinets and countertops were installed in the kitchen, along with plumbing and appliance connections.
5. Flooring:
• All existing finishes were removed, and new flooring was installed throughout the unit.
• Each space was left clean and ready for immediate use.
6. Moisture Treatment:
• Areas affected by mold were identified and treated.
• Specialized treatment and protection were applied to prevent its reappearance.
7. General Painting:
• All interior surfaces were prepared with filler and sanding.
• Primer and two coats of paint were applied to walls and ceilings, leaving a uniform and professional finish.
Final result:
The unit was completely transformed, now offering a modern, functional environment free of structural damage and moisture. Every detail was executed with precision to ensure durability and comfort, leaving the space ready for immediate occupancy or rental.
