Kitchen and Lobby Remodel
In this project, we completed a complete remodel of the kitchen and common areas of the Doordash location in Jacksonville. The work included everything from reconstructing walls to installing flooring, ceilings, and custom coverings, all focused on modernizing the space and adapting it to the client’s operational needs.
Scope of work performed:
1. Wall construction and adaptation:
• A new wall was built in the area where a door previously stood.
• Special fire-resistant walls were installed to improve site safety.
• Decorative baseboards were installed on all new walls.
• Paint was applied to all newly constructed or repaired walls, including the kitchen and common areas.
2. Ceiling renovation:
• The existing acoustic ceiling was replaced with a new one in the affected areas.
• The entire ceiling system structure was repaired and reinstalled.
3. Wall Cladding and Protection:
• Cement panels were installed on the lower part of the kitchen walls for greater strength and durability.
• A waterproofing layer was applied to the kitchen floor and walls to protect against moisture.
• FRP (fiber-reinforced plastic) panels were installed on the kitchen walls for easy cleaning and to meet sanitary standards.
4. Floor Finishes:
• The kitchen area floor was repaired and leveled to ensure a uniform and safe surface.
• The floor was prepared for the application of a durable, easy-to-maintain sealed concrete topcoat.
Final Result:
The result was a renovated, clean, functional, and safe space. The improvements significantly raised the quality and operational level of the kitchen area, perfectly adapting to Doordash’s work standards. Everything was done with attention to detail and a practical approach, ensuring a modern, durable, and easy-to-maintain environment.
